Is the appraiser concerned about the subject animal to be appraised? Is he/she knowledgable about my horse's breed, use, and pedigree? Did he/she inquire about my horse's health, soundness, performance history, awards, achievements, and other pertinent data? Was the horse viewed in person, or at a minimum was a video tape requested where a personal viewing was economically too costly? What about vet reports? Did the appraiser inquire as to the reason for the appraisal? Will a written appraisal be submitted? And finally was the fee discussed?
These are only a few of the many items a professional appraiser will go over with you, before the appraisal is completed. We have been valuing Hanoverians and Oldenburgs for many years. We have performed both written and verbal appraisals, covering almost every kind of situation. We recognize the many variables that come into play in the appraisal process, and we try to eliminate as many as possible so that the appraisal you receive from us will withstand the test of another's scrutiny.
So if ever you find yourself in the market for a professional opinion of value, for whatever reason, give us a call.
